As a highly qualified Voice Specialist Speech Therapist, Vocal Coach, and Singing Specialist, Lucy combines clinical expertise with performance training to support singers like you in achieving optimal vocal health performance. She holds an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (Distinction) from Manchester Metropolitan University, where her research focused on UK professional singers’ knowledge of typical and atypical vocal function, as well as the vital role of Speech and Language Therapists in vocal management.
Her academic foundation also includes a BA(Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Hull and vocational training in classical acting The Poor School, London, where she refined her understanding of the voice as both an instrument and an expressive tool. She then went on to perform professionally for 10years as an actor and singer and was represented by CBL Management.
Lucy is dedicated to evidence-based voice care and continuous professional growth, having received specialized training in the Lax Vox Method, Accent Method, SOVT (including therapy and pedagogical applications), Estill Voice TrainingLevels 1 & 2), and endoscopic evaluation of the singing voice. By regularly attending national voice clinics, forums, and conferences through the British Voice Association and British Laryngological Association, she stays informed about the latest advancements in vocal science and performanceogy.
As a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health and Care Professions Council, the British Voice Association, and the British Laryngological Association, she seamlessly integrates clinical knowledge with vocal artistry, empowering singers across genres to maintain vocal wellness, navigate challenges, and reach their full expressive potential.
